God was smiling when He created you that day

As He inspired your parents to name their baby, May

We have both been born again by the same way

And even got baptized on the same day

On your birthday, these few words to you I'd like to say

God will be with you, come what may

He will always walk beside you, every step of the way

For He has promised, by your side He'll stay

So, from Him, I pray that you will never stray

When the going gets tough, get on your knees and pray

Though things may not always look good, trust in Him and obey

He has the perfect plans for you as you journey with Him each day

Lastly, have faith that God will guide you day by day

Know that your friends are with you always

We will run this race till that final day
